The FemOne Story

 

One woman’s passion to help women look and feel their best, one woman’s unwavering love of family and friends, and one woman’s deep desire to inspire women to achieve their dreams and goals has led to the creation of one of direct selling’s hottest new companies, FemOne, Inc.. This fantastic female-driven company established in May 2002, was passionately created by one woman, Daran Grimm...

Although FemOne, Inc. is a new company, the FemOne story has taken decades for Daran to write. The seeds for FemOne were planted in the 1960’s when Daran Grimm married her college sweetheart, Ray Grimm, Jr. Daran’s love for Ray was only matched by her love for the arts, the beauty and fashion industries, family and friends; Ray Grimm’s love for Daran was only matched by his love of business, fast cars and raising roses. As their relationship grew, Daran, would become an accomplished sales woman with AVON cosmetics, and become one of the youngest buyers ever for Bullocks Department Stores. She would also happily become the mother of their two beautiful daughters, Danica and Darah and work tirelessly for many charities such as ChildHelp USA. Meanwhile, Ray would excel as an entrepreneur spending two highly rewarding decades spearheading direct sales companies. The 1980’s would become an important period of time in the eventual creation of FemOne, Inc.. Daran and Ray were in the process of co-founding a successful nutritional company. Their daughters, Danica and Darah, inspired by their parent’s success, were dreaming of one day starting a cosmetics company. About the same time, a cutting-edge anti-aging skincare and cosmetics line CHANNOINE COSMETICS emerged in Salzburg, Austria and would soon become a leader in the European skincare and cosmetics industry.

Nearly twenty years later, the long-held dream of FemOne, Inc. quickly began to bloom. Having sold their nutritional company in the late 1990’s, Daran approached Ray with the desire to start a new skincare, cosmetics and nutritional company for women by women. She wanted a company where family flourished and where women of every age could learn, work, nurture and inspire each other on regular basis. And, she wanted her own family to be an integral part. She enlisted Ray, her life-long supporter, to help her create a business plan for FemOne, a plan based on a female-focused line of nutritionals and a line of skincare and cosmetics that mothers and daughters would equally enjoy.
 
Struggling herself with the on-set of Menopause and watching her daughters suffer from PMS, Daran wanted to develop natural (non-drug) alternatives to every woman’s hormonal balancing needs.  She knew the only way to nurture the female spirit was to actively address the health issues essential to the well-being of women worldwide.  Daran sought the expertise of herbalists and other medical experts to develop a superior line of herbal and vitamin supplements for women.
 
Daran then partnered with her two daughters Danica and Darah, both UCLA graduates, to create a hip, stylish cosmetic line for young women on the go. Danica and Darah, both models, had a keen sense of makeup styles and trends. Danica, an artist, designed the color palate and Darah, through her international travels, clearly identified the latest trends in makeup packaging and design. Out of their collaboration emerged FemOne's 2SIS cosmetic line.
 
As Daran began exploring a skincare and cosmetics line for women her own age, a fateful meeting with a young Austrian born, American educated entrepreneur - Alfred Hanser - would complete FemOne.  Alfred, who had obtained the rights to distribute CHANNOINE products in North America, told Daran about his sister’s amazing rise in CHANNOINE Europe and how it inspired him to share it with other women. Daran knew CHANNOINE had everything she was looking for — a premier product line and a heartwarming history of helping women achieve their dreams. The Grimm’s and Alfred began sharing their family stories, dreams and goals of building billion dollar businesses in the lucrative skincare, cosmetics and nutritional industries and decided to join forces.

Daran’s passion and amazing drive attracted other veterans of the direct selling industry to round out the predominately female executive staff and operations team. She handpicked each woman for the Corporate team to ensure FemOne's success. It was decided that a single rose would come to symbolize this budding company representing Daran and Ray’s 30 plus years of commitment to entrepreneurism, marriage and family, and that each petal of the rose would represent the beauty and potential that lies in each FemOne woman.

 
As FemOne makes a difference in the lives of women across North America, Daran wanted it to also make a difference in the lives of children. She made an early decision to share a percentage of FemOne's sales revenues with Childhelp USA. This nationally recognized charity, long supported by the Grimm family, is dedicated to the well-being of abused and neglected children. Having spent 10 years of her life, time, energy and resources to Childhelp, Daran wanted other women to share in helping Childhelp build future homes for needy children as they each built a future with FemOne.
